Donation of items such as pet food, pet treats, toys, kennels or crates, or general pet supplies are called “in-kind” donations.  If Leavenworth County Humane Society, Inc. cannot use the items at the time of donation, they will either be stored or provided to pets in need at Leavenworth Animal Control Shelter, or to pets in homes that LCHS is working with.  A receipt for your donation will be provided to you by LCHS for the value of the donated items.

LCHS will work with you to either pick up or arrange transfer of your donated items.

Email LCHS with your name, address, phone number, and a description of the items you’d like to donate.   A LCHS volunteer will contact you to arrange for your item donation.

Things we most often use, either in our spay/neuter efforts or in our foster/adoption program:
Small, medium and large collapsible kennels
Small, medium and large pet carriers
Humane animal traps
Collars & leashes
Pet beds
Frontline Plus, Heartgard, or Interceptor

Treats, toys, blankets, towels, grooming supplies and pet food are shared with pets in need in Leavenworth County, either owned pets in need of a little assistance, or with pets at Leavenworth Animal Control Shelter.
