The Link (R) between Animal Cruelty and Human Violence

The Link between violence to people and cruelty to animals is well-established.  Child and animal protection professionals know that abuse of both animals and children is linked within a self-perpetuating cycle. Statistics nationwide indicate that this Link is a problem of national concern, and breaking this cycle of violence has become a top priority for thousands of communities nationwide.

In October 2010, LCHS, Inc. in cooperation with the Alliance Against Family Violence offered a Link Seminar, facilitated by National Link Coalition Chair, Phil Arkow.  Phil works with groups all over the world to educate and empower groups to interrupt the cycles of violence.

Adocates developed bookmarks and posters to reach those who may suffer or witness cruelty or abuse and provide them phone numbers where they can report the crimes or reach help.
