Get ready for the 3rd annual Great Paws & Claws Pumpkin Off!
Local businesses throughout Leavenworth County are putting their creativity to work by decorating pumpkins to help support the pets at Leavenworth County Humane Society, Inc.
From September 23 through October 24, visit participating businesses, check out their festive creations, and cast your vote for your favorite! Each $1 vote helps support the pets in our care.

Pumpkins with a Purpose

The Great Paws & Claws Pumpkin-Off is back and we want your business in it!
Businesses decorate and display pumpkins, and people vote for their favorites with donations to LCHS. Every $1 donated equals one vote, and every vote helps shelter pets.
New this year: More ways to join the fun! Visit participating businesses and complete photo challenges for chances to win a $250 gift-card raffle prize. And keep an eye out for Pumpkin-Off specials, menu items and more from participating businesses—all helping raise funds for shelter pets.

Decorate & Display
Decorate a real or artificial pumpkin and display it at your business. Paint it, sculpt it, collage it—get creative!
No storefront or short on space? LCHS can display an artificial pumpkin for you.
Get Featured
Participating businesses and their logos will be featured here and on the LCHS, Inc. social medias so people know where to find your pumpkins.
Bring People Through Your Doors
Encourage customers, friends and followers to come see your pumpkin and vote.
Want to do more? Create an optional Pumpkin-Off promotion—a themed drink or menu item, special offer, photo opportunity or another fun idea that works for your business.
We’ll help spread the word!
Participating businesses offering Pumpkin-Off specials will be featured on LCHS social media, giving our followers another reason to visit your business and support shelter pets.

Compete for Prizes
First-, second- and third-place pumpkins receive custom plaques provided by Make Your Mark LV.
The first-place business also receives the LCHS Prize Sponsorship Package, including:
- A clickable business logo on the LCHS website for one year.
- Recognition on the LCHS marquee along K-7 for one week.
- A “Friend of LCHS” sticker.
- A custom shelter-pet art painting created especially for your business by an adoptable LCHS pet.
How Voting Works
Every $1 donated to LCHS = one vote for your favorite pumpkin.
People can vote at participating businesses or online. Online votes count just the same, so businesses can invite customers, friends, family and social followers to support their pumpkin from anywhere.
The pumpkins with the most votes win.
New This Year: The $250 Gift-Card Raffle
The raffle gives people another reason to get out and visit participating businesses.
Each publicly displayed pumpkin will have a photo challenge. Visit the pumpkin, complete its photo challenge through the Pumpkin-Off page, and earn an entry into the $250 gift-card raffle.
Each business will have the opportunity to create an additional prompt for the community to earn raffle entries or make a donation towards the prize being raffled.
