2025 Reverse Advent Calendar!

This December, the Leavenworth County Humane Society is bringing back the Reverse Advent Calendar! As the end of the year fast approaches and the giving season is in full swing, our shelter dogs and cats would love to be the recipient of twenty-four days of gifts, treats, and some of our much needed supplies! This helps us greatly– as an example, because of everyone's generosity when we first did this in 2022 and because of following donations since, we haven't had to purchase any laundry detergent in almost two years! All of the in-kind donations help us immensely too because it allows us to put the funds towards our other necessary expenses like keeping the heat on this winter!

Here is how it works: on Day 1, if you choose to participate, you’ll purchase or find a plastic tote or a bin and its lid. Each day we will highlight an item that is always needed and used within the shelter and you can grab one to put in your bin. After the holidays, you can come by to drop off the entire bin at LCHS, Inc. and let a furry friend thank you for an amazing contribution to us! You can do this on your own, with your family and friends, or even with your coworkers! Shop day by day, week to week, or all at once! You can even participate from the comfort of your home because we made a special Amazon Wishlist containing most of the items too! We know that we’ve asked for a lot this year, and we cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciate our wonderful community.
