Thank You to the Youth Volunteer Corps of Kansas City!

We want to give a HUGE thank you to the Youth Volunteer Corps of Kansas City! This past Saturday we were lucky to have a team of incredible young volunteers from YVC of KC spend the day with us at LCHS, Inc! YVC of Kansas City provides youth ages 11–18 with opportunities to serve their community through team-based volunteer projects— helping young people build leadership skills and a lifelong commitment to service.

They rolled up their sleeves and got to work power washing our outdoor kennel covers and clearing out weeds around the property, which are no small tasks in the summer heat! Their positive attitudes and willingness to jump in wherever they were needed was so appreciated! (And we made sure to thank them properly with so many kitten cuddles afterwards too!)

Thank you again to the Youth Volunteer Corps of KC for your hard work and big hearts. We were so honored to have you spend the day with us! ❤🐾
